About

Sweetheart and I recently saw “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”. I had seen the film before but wanted to share this intense and beautiful movie with my love. The famous photographer in the film, Sean O’Connell and played by Sean Penn, is pictured as a purist who still uses analogue film.

I guess there is a time, a momentum, for everything. The movie woke something that had been lying dormant for so many years.

So I picked up analogue photography again.

After shooting digitally for so many years, I realised that I was missing something in the process of it all.

Film slows me down, it makes me pay more attention to my subject. Shooting with a film camera will not make me a better photographer, but it will make me photograph differently. It hope it will be an intenser experience.

Photography is my passion and I feel that it’s my responsibility to share that. Hopefully, someone else will find their passion because of it.

This blog is about my adventures with analogue black and white film photography and digital converted to black & white.  There will be also some color photography too.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my photography. Please feel free to contact me.

I appreciate feedback very much. So don’t hesitate to drop me a message or share my work with people who you think might like it!

  1. I love that movie too! But if you’ve looked closely at his camera set up when he was on the mountain, you will notice he has a “G” lens (no aperture ring) mounted on an F3. Haha

Hey, loving your blog, not only the photos, but also enjoy reading your words!

    1. Thank you for your very kind compliment Derek and so much appreciated 🙂
F3 Titan if I’m not mistaken and the “G” is indeed an impossible combination. I adore the way “Sean” explains what photography means to him.

      1. Now that I watched the movie, I find myself so dumb not to think that the negative that they were looking for was a photo of ben stiller. If its another movie I would have guessed it from the start. Therefore, it must be a great movie, haha.
